I lived in Kamakura during my stay in Japan. It's located on the west coast of the Miura peninsula, about an hour south of Tokyo by train. It's famous for being the capital of Japan from 1185 to 1333 and was the place where the first military shogunate rule started.
The pictures are arranged from left to right in the order that I took them. Since I revisited my favorite places from time to time you will see multiple pictures of them scattered throughout the page. Also, up until the autumn of 2003 I only had my Olympus point-and-shoot camera. After that, I slowly began using the Minolta as I got comfortable with it. Hopefully the picture quality improved, although the old point-and-shoot can still take some pretty good shots.
Some of these shots I consider "good", some are intended to show friends who haven't been to Japan a little of what I saw there, and some I just like for personal reasons - even if they aren't so good :)
